Description
For sale is a complete Brother 423A 3 head 9 needle Commercial Embroidery Machine and the complete business (everything). The machine was purchased from Brother International in 1998 by Impact Screen Printing out of Philadelphia, PA. I believe it is a 1996 model, and was originally used as a demo at Brother’s headquarters in New Jersey for the two years prior to them purchasing it. When Impact Screen Printing had it, they had it set up and maintained by the Brother technicians annually and it performed perfectly. They took exceptional care of it as we have. I purchased it in Nov of 2004 from them because they were retiring and closing the business. I purchased it for my wife to start a business. Unfortunately, with three boys keeping her totally busy, she has not had the time to pursue this. She has done several jobs (big and small); however, we are selling it because it is seldom used. This machine (with some extras) originally cost over $40,000 when Impact purchased it. It has been kept in our climate-controlled garage/work area the full time we have had it (mostly with a cover on it since we have hardly used it). I tested it and everything works fine. The only very minor things with it are 1) the left light (one of three) does not work (I think there is a loose wire because when a new bulb is put in, it turns on then blows the light) 2) there is some surface rubbing of the paint where the magnets light bases are (I did not know they were magnets – thought they were permanent, so when I picked up the machine, the vibration from the road in the trailer moved them around a little and that’s what caused it – see picture) and 3) there are a few minor nicks on the front lower cross piece that looks like small rock chips on a car in size (see picture). Those were there when I purchased it. Other than those three very minor things, it is in excellent shape. This requires 220V electricity (like a clothes dryer). All you need is customers. This is an excellent opportunity for a reasonable price to get into a business where you can make great money. (812)207-4587 Buyer must arrange for shipping, which can be expensive because this machine weighs about 1400 pounds. I don't know if they require it to be boarded up or not (I would do that). I recommend a person make some calls and check this out yourself. I would not assume if you plug your zip code into Freightquote's calculator that this will be the cost. The only way for me to get rid of that is have pick-up only, but people have professionals move these all the time (like when purchased new or used). The height is 57"tall, depth is 49" and length is 12' long. This business/machine is located just over the river (six miles) from Louisville, KY in Indiana. That being said, when I purchased this, a friend and I put it in a U-Haul trailer (pulled by my truck) with the aid of some car jacks and it was fine (700 miles from Philly to home). If someone were interested in that, I could help, but it would be the full responsibility of the purchaser in doing so.
