Description
Art Clay Silver 650/ 1200 Low Fire Clay Starter Kit.  This assortment includes 20g of clay, 10g of paste, our custom tool kit and as a bonus 1/4 sheet of paper clay.  Also included is the booklet "Your Personal Guide to Art Clay Silver"  This assortment would retail for $85+.  This is a great way to begin working with silver clay.  All you need to add to this collection is a small butane torch- available at any hardware or discount store (the micro torch for cooking is a great size).  The photo shows our custom tool kit but not the 20g of clay or 10g of paste which are included with this auction. This silver clay fires at temperatures as low as 1200 F.  This makes it great to use with glass, sterling silver, and CZ's.  Clay, paste, and small decorative paper elements can be fired with a butane torch or in a kiln.   Art Clay Silver 650 only shrinks 8-9% during firing, the lowest percentage of all metal clays.  All purchases recieve a free gift- a small tool, CZ, glass cab or other goody to use with your clay. This starter kit contains all of the tools and silver clay you need to start making metal clay jewelry, just add a torch/kiln.  Unlike many kits, our custom toolkit contains the tools necessary to work will metal clay in all stages from wet clay to fired metal.  The kit contains the following: Acrylic Roller Plastic slats- thickness guide when rolling out clay (equivalent to 4 playing cards) Cutter/scraper- this metal tool is used to cut wet clay   Needle tool- this tool can be used to cut clay, draw, and create holes Craft Knife- exacto knife with cap Teflon work surface- two 4"x4" non-stick work surfaces 2 paint brushes (pointed and flat) Rubber block- 2" square block to support dried clay when finishing Sanding sticks- 2 sanding files for finishing/ refining unfired clay Sanding twigs- 2 narrow sanders for detailed refining on unfired clay Tweezers Sponges- 2 sponges for use with wet or dried clay Mini Plastic spatula- this small tool is great for stirring paste Brass brush Curved tip metal burnisher Metal file set of 12 (carbon steel) Plastic pipette/dropper- used to add water to clay or paste Bamboo skewers Assorted straws- use to create wrap over bails and holes in clay Plastic case, color varies These are the same tool kits that I use when teaching metal clay classes.  Unlike many toolkits that are available, this kit contains tools for working with metal clay from start to finish.  As an added bonus I am including the introductory pamphlet from Art Clay Silver "Working with Art Clay Silver" and our special hint (and 'tool') for finishing greenware to an extra smooth finish.    As a senior instructor for Art Clay Silver (and certified PMC instructor), I am always willing to answer questions or provide information about Art Clay products and our tools.  I am an authorized distributor of Art Clay Silver products in North America and more information can be found by clicking on my 'about me' link at the top of this page. The shipping on this clay sampler is actual cost based on zipcode.  Insurance is optional, but recommended as I cannot be responsible for the item once it is shipped.  Once payment has cleared items will usually be shipped within one business day by USPS priority mail with delivery confirmation.  I prefer Paypal, but will accept money orders from buyers with a positive feedback of greater than 10.  Paypal payment should be made within 72 hours of purchase; for money order payments please email me within 3 days.
