Description
Call me, 731-614-2518(Mike), if you need to talk. We've been in the mill business for over 60 years. Have had our own dry kilns for over 10 years. Pic of example of the flake red oak quarters looks like. Lumber was only skip surfaced to bring out the flake feature Have a total of 4,500 bd ft of this item. Anyone buying all 4,500 bd ft gets a discount on pricing. Price on all 4,500 bd ft bought at one time would be $2.30 per bd ft or a saving of $3,150. This lumber was produced from logs ranging 18 inch to 4 feet in diamenter. So, you'll get some nice widths with not a bunch of narrow strips. About 2,300 bd ft will be 6 & 8 feet lengths with small percentage of 6 feet. About 2,200 bd ft will be 10 & 12 feet lengths with small percentage of 10 feet. You have 3 lots of 1000 bd ft each of rift/quarter sawn kiln dried red oak. This lumber came from logs ranging from 18 inches to 4 feet in diamenter at the small end<p> When you quarter sawn a log you actually get plain sawn, rift sawn, & quarter sawn all from the same one log. We package both rift & quarter sawn together as if we seperated all grades/all speices we'd need a football size stadium to store everything. As a general rule usually this runs about 50/50. So, for instance, if there as 150 boards of lumber about 75 boards would be rift sawn & about 75 boards would be quarter sawn. Sometimes more/sometimes less. Quarter sawn is the flake you see or old timers call this tiger oak. Rift sawn is where the grain runs parallal to the length of the board Grade will be 1 common & better which means both 1 common & FAS grade. Lengths will be 8 to 12 feet long with some 6 feet. Widths will be 6 inches or wider with some widths narrower than 6 inches. I can ship this load overseas upon customers needs. Email me for shipping cost of a full load container before buying though as shipping, etc. varies based on where your at. Our feedback speaks for itself. All customers havde been well pleased with our kiln dried hardwood lumber Deal direct with the manufacturer & cut out all middle men. Why pay more for same product at your local shop when you can buy direct from mill. Also have kiln dried ash, cherry, walnut, soft maple, birch, eastern airomatic red cedar, and quarter sawn oak in 4/4 thickness available. As well have horse stall hardwood 2by's. Email me your needs & will then put up a listing to meet exactly your needs on Ebay. WE CONDITION(STRESS RELIEVE) all our dry kilned lumber. We feel if the lumber isn't stress relieved then we are doing our customers a disservice. Usually takes about 12 hours to cool down dry kiln chambers then another 12 hours of pumping raw steam into the dry kiln chambers to force moisture back in to relax the lumber. For those unfamilar with condition(stress relieve) you have to do this at the end of the dry kiln charge to relax the lumber. As you force moisture out of lumber by the end of the charge it's laying there stressed. To resolve this problem you conditon the lumber or force moisture back into the lumber at the end of the drying process to relax the lumber. You do this on most all hardwoods. Softwoods or Poplar you don't have to conditon. Eventhough Poplar is a harwood it's so open poured that it doesn't need condtioning. This makes the lumber more user friendly. You have 3 options on shipping: 1 Email us your zipcode for a shipping rate quote. 2 Have a freight company of your chosing come pick the lumber up from us with you paying the freight company direct instead of us paying the freight from our end. As we get volume rate discounts others will be most likely highly than our shipper. 3. Stop by our yard to pick up the lumber. We can load without a problem. Dont' hesitate to ask me any questions. As we're about 20 miles east of Jackson, Tn right off the interstate, you can find/stop by very easily. We don't have a problem with you stopping by to see the lumber before you buy thru Ebay. Feel free to contact our buyers from out feedback to get their. So, if your a cabinet shop, high volume end user, home owner, why not deal direct with the mill instead of going thur middle men. We've been in business for over 60 years.
